No, I am an out-of-network therapist and do not bill insurance directly.
Upon request, I can provide a superbill (receipt) to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. It is important to note that most insurance companies do not cover the cost of relationship or family therapy, and more often cover the cost of individual therapy for a diagnosed mental health condition. Please confirm with your insurance company directly regarding your out-of-network mental health benefits. See below for questions to ask your insurance provider.
-
Without insurance involvement, I’m not required to diagnose you with a mental health issue / disorder and it offers more freedom of choice around session frequency, the length of sessions, treatment goals, and privacy.

If you’d like to check your out-of-network mental health benefits to see if (and how much) your insurance will cover for the cost of therapy, the first step is find your health insurance card and call the phone number on the back of it and ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
Do I need to meet a deductible first?
How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
It is also important to ask if they will reimburse for a provider with an LMFTA license.
For Individual Therapy, “Is the CPT code 90837 covered under my plan for an out-of-network provider with an LMFTA license?
For Relationship Therapy (Couples or Family), “Is the CPT code 90847 with an ICD-10 diagnostic code of Z63.0 covered under my plan where the therapist holds an LMFTA license? -
Choose a time for a free 20-minute phone consultation. We’ll get to know each other, answer your questions, and explore if working together feels like the right fit. If we decide it's a good fit, we’ll schedule your initial session and I’ll send over the necessary paperwork to get started.
If you prefer to get started sooner rather than later, you may also skip the consultation call and reach out to me via the contact form on my website to scheduled your initial session and I will send you the required paperwork to complete before your first session. -
Currently, I meet with clients virtually. You''ll login to the online client portal I use and we’ll connect over video.
I do not offer in-person therapy at this time. -
We’ll start with weekly sessions so we are able to get to know each other and create a foundation. After four sessions, we’ll check in together and find a cadence that fits your life and what you’re wanting to work on. Most clients meet with me weekly or every other week, and then we taper down to meet less frequently as progress is made.

Most sessions are 50-55 minutes. For 90-minute sessions, there is an additional $50 fee.

I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for those experiencing financial instability.
When deciding if this applies, I consider the “green bottle” method. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
I also recommend searching Open Path for sliding scale provider options if my sliding scale spots are full.
